Pediatric ICU Training Course

March 22, 2018

Today we taught about a dozen providers from the Pediatric ICU how they can apply point of care ultrasound to their practice. They were very insightful and caught on quickly. We had a great morning teaching them!

Talk from Jacob Avila

March 14, 2018

This week we were very lucky to have sono-celebrity (and expert) Dr. Jacob Avila, creator of 5min Sono, at our office to give us a few lectures. We learned how to create digital education videos in the modern age, an introduction to nerve blocks, and Jacob's approach to lung ultrasound. We enjoyed learning from Jacob and showing him around Boston!

Yale New England Point-of-Care Ultrasound Course

Yale EM US hosts an annual PoCUS course which we attend and help teach at each year. This year it took place in beautiful Newport, Rhode Island. We had a great time at the course as well as exploring Newport and its delicious restaurants. Thank you to our colleagues at Yale for hosting a great conference!

Neuro ICU Training Course

July 12, 2017

For the past two days we have been teaching a group of fellows and nurse practitioners from the Neurology ICU department how to use ultrasound. They loved learning point of care applications specific to their practice, and we enjoyed teaching them the many benefits of ultrasound!

MFA Visit: Art & Medicine

June 21, 2017

One of our fellows, Tommy Heyne, took us on a tour of the MFA that focused specifically on Medicine in Art. It was extremely interesting and taught us to look at art from a 'diagnostic' point of view.

Fellow Graduation Party

June 20, 2017

We had a graduation party for three of our fellows who are graduating at the end of the month. Special thank you to Sig and his wife for hosting the party and serving delicious Filipino food. We wish the best of luck to Tommy, Nick and Sally, you will be missed!
